SDI ADVANCED ADVENTURE DIVER
The purpose of this course is to give the diver an introduction to each of five SDI
specialties.
There are two core specialties, Deep and Navigation, and 3 may be selected from any Specialty. Each of the specialty dives may apply towards the complete Specialty certification
.STUDENT PRE-REQUISITES Minimum age of 18, 10 with parental consent, and
minimum certification as a SDI Open Water (or Jnr Open Water) Scuba Diver or equivalent .QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES Upon successful completion of this course, graduates
may engage in No Decompression Diving activities up to 30 msw (21 msw if under 15 years of age). REQUIRED COURSE MINIMUMS Classroom / Briefing Hours – depending upon Specialties selected,
approx. 4+. Openwater Dives - 5, including a Deep Dive between the depths of 20m and
30m, a Navigation Dive using both compass and natural navigation techniques, and
3 chosen Specialty dives
REQUIRED SUBJECT AREAS Diving Tables and Computers, Equipment for Deep Dives, Physics & Physiology for Deep Dives, Emergency
Procedures for Deep Dives, First Aid Review, Natural & Compass Navigation, plus subjects depending upon the Specialties chosen. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED Basic Open Water Scuba Diver equipment, Compass, any specialty equipment required for selected specialties. Note: All SDI Programs require
the use of a Dive Computer.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Complete the SDI Advanced Adventure Diver Knowledge Quest, Demonstrate the techniques to execute a Deep Dive, Navigate Underwater and complete

SDI EASY NITROX DIVER
The SDI Recreational Nitrox course is designed to teach Open Water Divers how to use Nitrox mixtures up to forty percent (40%)
with the aid of an Air or Nitrox programmable
dive computer. STUDENT
PRE-REQUISITES Minimum
age of 18, 10 with parental consent, and minimum certification as a SDI Open Water (or Jnr Open Water) Scuba Diver or equivalent .QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES Upon successful completion
of this course, graduates may engage in No Decompression Nitrox Diving activities using
an Air or Nitrox programmable Dive Computer up to the maximum depth of their
training, but no deeper than 40 msw. REQUIRED COURSE MINIMUMS Option A. Home Study/CD-ROM or On-line Training with 1 hr Classroom review Option B. Optional Classroom
/ Briefing Hours – 3 with manual & KQ Practical – Anlaysis and Logging of 2 Nitrox Cylinder mixesOpenwater Dives – 2 optional dives using Nitrox. REQUIRED SUBJECT AREAS History of Nitrox, Physiology, Equipment Considerations,
Dive Computers, Advantages & Disadvantages of Nitrox, Equivalent Air Depth, Use &
Theoty of an Ozygen Analyser, Logging of Nitrox Gas mixes. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED Nitrox Scuba Cylinder, Oxygen Analyser and Nitrox Fill Log. Basic Open Water Scuba Diver equipment with Nitrox compatible regulators if diving. Note: All SDI Programs require
the use of a Dive Computer. The use of a Nitrox programmable Dive Computer is recommended with this course
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Complete the SDI Easy Nitrox Diver Knowledge Quests, Demonstrate the techniques to analyse and log Nitrox mixes safely and competently.

SDI SOLO DIVER
This course trains divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures to be self
sufficient
divers including the skills and techniques to undertake solo diving for no decompression dives to a maximum depth of 40 msw. STUDENT PRE-REQUISITES Minimum age of 21, minimum of 100 logged dives and certification as a SDI Advanced Diver or equivalent (this program may
be combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox, Deco Procedures, Extended Range or Trimix
Diver Courses). QUALIFICATIONS
OF GRADUATES Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in No Decompression Solo Diving activities up to 40 msw. REQUIRED COURSE MINIMUMS Classroom / Briefing Hours - 4Openwater Dives - 2, including a non-stop surface swim of 200 meters in full scuba gear, navigation with a compass, deployment
of a surface marker and use of surface
audible signalling device. REQUIRED SUBJECT AREAS Why Solo Dive?, Who should Solo Dive?, When Not to Solo Dive, Solo Diving Mentality,
Using the Solo Diver Release Form, Equipment for Solo Diving, Planning & Conducting
a Solo Dive, Navigation, Management of Solo Diving Emergencies, In-Water Drills. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED Redundant Air Source, SMB & Reel, Compass, Audible Signal Note: All SDI Programs require the use of a Dive Computer.

SDI RESCUE DIVER
The
rescue certification course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills for an individual to effectively perform diver rescues and assists, and administer necessary first aid. STUDENT PRE-REQUISITES Minimum age of 18, 15 with
parental consent, minimum of 40 logged dives OR certification as a SDI Advanced Diver or equivalent, hold current First Aid and CPR Certification (these programs may be combined with
the Rescue Course). QUALIFICATIONS
OF GRADUATES Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are able to conduct rescues to distressed divers and are qualified to enrol in the SDI Master Diver
and SDI Divemaster programs. REQUIRED COURSE MINIMUMS Classroom / Briefing Hours – 12 (8 in Open Water conditions)Openwater Dives – 8 hours in Open Water conditions including assisting distressed
divers, locating & surfacing and unconscious diver, 50m in-water rescue breathing surface swim and removal of the diver from the water. REQUIRED SUBJECT AREAS Prevention & Causes of Diving Accidents, Diving Lifesaving, Hyperbaric Injuries
and Management, Accident Management. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED Basic Open Water Scuba
Diver equipment and Cutting Device. A Pocket Mask where necessary. Note: All SDI Programs require the use of a Dive Computer.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Complete the SDI Rescue Diver Knowledge Quests, Demonstrate the techniques to execute Dive Emergency Planning and Management
safely and competently.

SDI ADVANCED DIVER The SDI Advanced Diver program requires a student to take four (4) SDI specialties
or equivalent,
along with having a total of twenty (25) logged dives. SDI feels a diver will truly be “Advanced” after this is accomplished. STUDENT PRE-REQUISITES Minimum certification of SDI Open Water (or
Jnr Open Water Scuba Diver) or equivelent,
Minimum age depending upon the certifications chosen. QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will be truly “Advanced
Divers”
and may engage in No Decompression Diving activities up the maximum depth of their training, but no deeper than 40 msw. REQUIRED COURSE MINIMUMS Classroom / Briefing Hours – Various, depending upon the Specialties selected.
Openwater
Dives – A Total of 25 dives need to be logged prior to certification. Only 1 non diving specialty, aside from Nitrox, may be credited towards this program.
As most SDI Specialties are 2 dives,
a Minimum of 4 Open Water Scuba Diver and 6 Specialty Diver dives must be included .REQUIRED SUBJECT AREAS Subjects will depend upon the Specialties chosen. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED Basic Open Water Scuba
Diver equipment plus any specialty equipment required for selected specialties. Note: All SDI Programs require the use of a Dive Computer.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Complete the Specialty Knowledge Quests and/or
exams, Log 25 dives, Demonstrate the techniques to execute Scuba Dives safely and competently.

SDI MASTER DIVER
The SDI Master Diver program
requires a student to take four (4) SDI specialties and Rescue Diver, or equivalent, along with having a total of fifty (50)
logged dives. SDI feels a diver will
truly be “Master Scuba Diver” after this is accomplished. STUDENT PRE-REQUISITES Minimum certification of SDI Rescue or equivelent, Minimum age depending upon the certifications chosen QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES Upon successful completion
of this course, graduates will be truly “Master Scuba Divers” and may engage in No Decompression Diving activities up the maximum
depth of their training, but no deeper
than 40 msw. REQUIRED

SDI DIVEMASTER This program is designed
to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for an individual to lead certified divers in the open water environment. STUDENT PRE-REQUISITES Minimum age of 18, minimum of 40 logged dives,
certification as a SDI Advanced Diver or equivalent (this must include Deep, Night and Navigation Specialties), certification as a Rescue
Diver, hold Current First Aid and CPR certifications, have a current Diving medical Clearance. QUALIFICATIONS OF GRADUATES Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may Assist an active SDI instructor & Supervise
and conduct dives for certified divers. Graduates may also enrol in the SDI Assistant Instructor or SDI Open Water Instructor Training Course
(ITC). REQUIRED COURSE MINIMUMS Classroom / Briefing Hours - 40Confined Water/Pool Dives – Swimming, Snorkelling & Scuba Skills demonstrations
and assessments.Openwater Dives - 10, including 5 giving briefs & debriefs and
guiding 4 dives in varying sites and conditions. REQUIRED SUBJECT AREAS SDI Standards & Procedures, Member Code of Ethics, Liability & Insurance,
